Welcome to the Collegiate Recovery Program
The Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) within the Bruin Resource Center supports UCLA students who are in or interested in recovery from substance use disorders and addictive behaviors through campus advocacy, education, academic assistance, financial assistance, and sober social events.
Coming Soon! We're excited to ramp up the CRP program at UCLA by hiring a full-time coordinator to foster a thriving recovery community. We'll be adding meetings, collaborating with campus partners like HEART, and hosting events tailored for you. Interested in joining our student staff? Reach out to recovery@ucla.edu for more information or check back for updates. In the meantime, all are welcome to our open AA meeting every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 PM in SAC B44B.
Bruins 4 Recovery
Bruins for Recovery (B4R) is a student group that organizes on-campus and virtual recovery meetings, sober hangouts, and safe and supportive environments.
This student organization is under reconstruction. Applications for Board Members are coming soon!
CRP and B4R are for students who...
- Are in long-term recovery from alcohol, drugs, or behavioral addictions
- Use alcohol or drugs but might want to stop
- Use harm reduction with an outside medical provider or therapist
- Are curious about starting the process of recovery / sobriety / abstinence
- Have friends or family members who struggle with or are in long-term recovery from alcohol, drugs, or behavioral addictions
What is the difference?
While CRP provides institutional support for students in or interested in recovery from addiction, B4R provides peer support.

Land Acknowledgment
The Collegiate Recovery Program at UCLA acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). As a land grant institution, we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors),' Ahiihirom (Elders), and 'Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present, and emerging.
