Mia is one of our newest staff additions to the BRC as the Program Director of two programs, CRP and SWD. She earned her B.A. in Afro-American studies from UCLA and her M.A. in Education Counseling from CSUDH. Prior to joining the BRC team, she spent the last four years as a Community College Counselor for several local community colleges. She is a proud first generation transfer student and former participant and intern for UCLA’s Students with Dependents program. She feels honored to be in a position that allows her to advocate, support, and empower students at UCLA the same way many staff, faculty, and students advocated, supported, and empowered her. Mia’s hobbies are playing party games, watching movies, and spending quality time with her 14-year-old son, Jeremiah.
