Patil Derhagopian (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Program Director of UCLA's Collegiate Recovery Program. In college, Patil had a growing interest in mental health advocacy and social justice, thus gaining her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women's Studies from Cal Poly Pomona and further pursued a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma from Pacific Oaks College as an active effort to promote the de-stigmatizion of mental health conditions. Prior to UCLA, Patil has held numerous roles as a recreational therapist, a mental health clinician and as an intake coordinator, working with various populations including children, teens, college students, veterans, older adults, those who have experienced houselessness, grave disability, and substance use disorders/addiction.
In her spare time, Patil loves to spend time outdoors via hiking and camping, spending time with family, volunteering, walking her dog, attending concerts and comedy shows.
